Privacy Policy Last updated: 11 August 2026 Social Cycles Pty Ltd (ABN 22 604 076 815) runs small-group cycling holidays. This page explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We’ve tried to keep it in plain English. If anything is unclear, ask us. Our contact details are at the bottom. 1. Who we are Social Cycles Pty Ltd is an Australian company. When we say “we” or “us” in this policy, that’s who we mean. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. 2. What we collect When you enquire or download an itinerary. Your name and email address, plus anything you write in the message. When you sign up through one of our ads. If you fill in a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, we receive what you entered, which is usually your name, email address and your answers to the form questions. When you book. Bookings run through Rezdy, our booking system. We collect your name, contact details and booking details there. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we don’t see or store your full card number. After you book. Before your tour we ask for emergency contact details, any dietary requirements, and any medical information we should know about, so we can look after you on the road. We ask only for what the tour needs. When you visit our website. Like most websites we use cookies and similar tools, including Google Analytics and the Meta pixel. These tell us things like which pages get visited and whether our ads work. See section 5. From travel agents and booking platforms. Some riders book through third parties such as travel agents or tour marketplaces. In that case the platform passes us the details we need to run your booking. 3. What we use it for Answering enquiries and sending itineraries you’ve asked for Running your booking and your tour, including safety on the road Sending our newsletter and tour announcements, if you’ve signed up (every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is instant) Advertising and measuring whether it works Meeting legal obligations, like tax record-keeping We don’t sell personal information. 4. Who we share it with People who help run your tour. Our local operators and guides in the countries we ride through get the details they need for logistics and safety: typically names, dietary requirements, relevant medical notes and emergency contacts. Service providers. Companies that provide our booking system (Rezdy), payment processing (Stripe), email (Mailchimp and Microsoft), website hosting, and advertising and analytics (Google and Meta). They process information on our behalf to run their service, not for their own marketing. When the law requires it. If we’re legally obliged to disclose something, we will. Those are the only people we share it with. 5. Cookies, analytics and advertising Our site uses Google Analytics to understand how people use it, and the Meta pixel to measure our Facebook and Instagram advertising. Both set cookies, and both run on every visit — we don’t ask you to opt in first. You can limit ad tracking in your Facebook and Google account settings, or block and delete cookies in your browser; the site works either way. 6. Where your information goes Some of our providers store information outside Australia. Google, Meta, Stripe and Mailchimp operate largely from the United States. And because our tours run in other countries, the tour details in section 4 go to our local teams in the country you’re riding in, who get only what they need to run it. 7. How we protect it Booking and payment information lives in the systems built for it (Rezdy and Stripe), not in spreadsheets on laptops. Access to rider information is limited to the people who need it to run the business and your tour. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit how many places your information sits. 8. How long we keep it As long as we need it for the purposes above, and as long as the law requires for things like financial records. When we no longer need it, we delete it. 9. Your choices and rights You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we’re not required to keep it. Email us (section 11) and we’ll sort it out. Marketing emails stop the moment you unsubscribe. 10. If you’re outside Australia We’re an Australian company and this policy is written against Australian law. If you contact us from the UK, EU or elsewhere, you may have additional rights under your local law — email us and we’ll do our best to honour them. 11. Contact and complaints Questions, requests or complaints about privacy: [email protected]. If you’re not happy with how we handle a complaint, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au. 12. Changes to this policy If we change this policy we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be flagged on the site.
